Kids Boat Building and Activities
An introduction to on-water adventure!
Young sailors and their families are invited to visit the Youth Boating Center (Booth: East 1427) to begin their boating adventures. Join the Center for Wooden Boats on Saturdays and Sunday and build a toy boat while learning about all things nautical from propulsion to knot tying, and more!
PLUS, little mariners (suggested age 3-8) can enjoy time on the water in the Aqua Paddlers boat pool. Life jackets provided and required.
Meet the PFD Panda - Weekends, 12 - 4pm
The Coast Guard Aux is bringing PFD Panda to the show on the weekends: Feb. 1, 2 and 8 (Noon to 4:00)
PDF Panda is a program to promote life jackets. Panda can be found in East Hall booth #1028 or walking the East Hall and visiting the kid’s zone.
The PFD Panda mascot was created by the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary to help promote boating safety and wearing of personal flotation devices for boaters of all ages.
