On-Water Rescue Dog Demo - Seattle Boat Show

On-Water Rescue Dog Demo

Water rescue dogs will visit Bell Harbor Marina on Wednesday, February 8 at 3:00 p.m. to demonstrate on-water safety lessons! Newfoundlands, Oakley, and Angel, from the American Academy of Canine Water Rescue, a nonprofit organization that breeds and trains dogs to perform water rescues will be at Bell Harbor Marina to share with showgoers their impressive cold water rescue skills and help remind boaters the importance of on on-water safety and preparedness.

Newfoundland Dogs, as well as Labrador Retrievers and certain other breeds, were specifically bred to rescue people in the water; when this natural instinct is enhanced via clear training, bonding techniques with a human handler then the dog/human team becomes beyond compare as a rescue entity for people in danger.
